IIn operations on land and at sea, Airbus Helicopters Inc.’s H145 is at the top of its class in the light twin-engine helicopter category.

Since its introduction into the U.S. marketplace, the H145 and its predecessor EC145 (BK117 C2) have established themselves as a multi-mission leaders. It is the undisputed platform of choice in the air medical services sector, while also demonstrating its off-shore capabilities in the Gulf of Mexico and service with the U.S. Army in the militarized Light Utility Helicopter version.

Equipped with FADEC-equipped Arriel 2E engines that ensure a fast cruise speed of 129 kts. and a service ceiling of 16,600 ft., the H145 has the “dash” capability for emergency airlift missions when minutes often mean the difference between life and death. The rugged Arriel powerplants guarantee reliable flight performance in temperatures ranging from -45 to +50 degrees Celsius.

Flying is made easier and safer with the helicopter’s advanced Helionix glass cockpit with digital autopilot for both single and dual pilot applications. The H145’s large cabin has volume for nine passengers; or two patients and litters, plus up to three medical personnel and their equipment.

The H145’s comprehensive avionics includes a 4-axis dual digital autopilot as standard and fully integrated large-screen flight and navigation displays (FNDs). The class-leading cabin of H145 maximizes the interoperability of the aircraft.

In numerous instances, H145s are replacing or supplementing previous-generation BK117, BO105 and EC145 (BK117 C2) helicopters in medical airlift fleets, underscoring customer satisfaction with – and loyalty to – the Airbus Helicopters product line over the long-term.
