Airbus Helicopters Inc., formerly American Eurocopter, began its roots in Texas in 1969. Today, the Grand Prairie campus is home to the companyâ€™s headquarters including the administration, sales, marketing, and technical and customer support teams. These facilities also offer engineering capabilities, assembly, customization and flight test of aircraft along with extensive MRO capabilities (Blade, Dynamic Component, Maintenance & Repair to include major airframe reconstruction).
Located on a 40-acre tract with over 330,500 square feet of buildings, Airbus Helicopters Inc.â€™s campus is also home to a state-of-the-art Training Center, a Delivery Center and facilities for its Avionics business and expanding Engineering capabilities that now include ODA certification from the FAA.
As part of the LUH program with the U.S. Army, Army pilots and maintenance crews receive UH-72A training at the Training Center in Grand Prairie. This training incorporates classroom, flight simulator and hands-on flight training.
Recently, the company introduced a Customer Service and Fleet Operations Center that is the focal point for customer interaction. It is part of an initiative to provide customers with the best service and support in the industry.
